so we are having a significant heavy rain.. Not yet! not at this time.. In our place its still hot and i managed to cut the grass..

So they said on the news here that City leaders postponed a decision about closing schools or opening shelters until after they reviewed the 5 p.m. update from the National Hurricane Center, but DuvalSchools.org reported late in the day that its schools and offices would be closed Wednesday and Thursday. Im confused!

but anyway, if the rain is hard tomorrow, i might not let my kids to go to school. Right now the storm is moving slow but surely will hit jacksonville (where we live) i hope it will change direction.

My husband said it will go down to the ocean but will come back more stronger.. Flood is the main concern here in our place. I read that they havent had this kind of tropical storm for a couple of years now.

We are not actually prepared yet, people here are running back and forth to the Gas stations and Grocery stores. Me? i havent got a single can of goods.!

Ate Rose, you should always prepare yourself for any storm. Start buying can goods and no need refrigeration items, plus you should fill up your gas tanks. Remember back then when guam had a typhoon or storm (i forgot which one) our gas supply started to burn. So we didnt have gas for days. Then when we finally had gas, the gas stations had a very long line of customers. Thats why Guam learned their lesson- expect the unexpected. So ate you should prepare no matter what.
